Our commodities client VMS Ventures rocked an investor conference earlier this month when their CEO, Neil Richardson, flexed his Mining IQ in an in-depth interview. The new mining guide, based in Australia, holds a 55% North American readership. Recognizing they were a new player in mining media, Peak reached out to offer an interview opportunity.
When working with industry giants such as Telus International, we find guest blogging opportunities to showcase thought leadership. In this case, we submitted a post written by their marketing director, to highlight new research from the outsourcing specialists.
#earnedmedia: The Customer Collective
Our Digital and Social Media department is as busy as ever creating interactive applications for clients using a variety of social media tools. Recently we hosted a successful sweepstakes for a Calgary-based real estate client using Facebook’s new Timeline functionality. News of the giveaway, awarding two $10,000 shopping sprees for The Brick, reached over 207,000 people via social media and earned more than 90 Facebook page “shares”.
With the ever growing popularity of social media platforms, we see an insurgence of pet lovers that are dying to show the world pictures of their fur babies (Ellen included). Leveraging this we created a contest for our textile and pet bed manufacturing client, Novo Textiles, to giveaway a brand new pet bed. The contest, based on Novo’s Facebook page, engages pet owners to share photos of their pet’s beds and will award the photo with the highest votes a brand new geo-blend pet bed.
Two active voices in the province, the Vancouver Sun and Business in Vancouver, took the opportunity to recognize a new ‘PEAKer’ in their “People on the Move.” We’re very pleased to welcome Chris Olsen to our Peak Communicators team.
