Case Study: Canadian Cancer Society

In Spring 2010, the B.C. / Yukon chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society sought Peak’s social media services for developing and promoting its first annual Daffodil Day fundraiser. Peak created a multi-faceted online campaign that encompassed influencer relations, designing a campaign micro-site and creating and maintaining social media profiles on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and YouTube. Using social tools, Peak increased public awareness of the campaign and fostered conversations about how people have been impacted by cancer. In six weeks, Peak was successful in recruiting more than 1,000 members to the Facebook Page and securing online media coverage on several influential B.C. blogs.
